Despite their differences, Christianity and Islam both have their origins in the twilight of the Roman Empire. They share many similarities. Drawing from St. Augustine, Omar Khayyam, and the Qur’an, discuss what early Islam and early Christianity have in common. A good place to start is to consider the importance of faith in both religions. Remember, we are interested in similarities here, not differences. These faiths come from the same Abrahamic tradition, so l’d like us to explore that link.
