Step 1: Pick a test that you are interested in learning more about (e.g., The Woodcock-Johnson IV Tests of Cognitive Abilities, Vineland-3, WISC IV). Attached is a list of some of the instruments that are used for evaluations.
Step 2: Use the Mental Measurement Yearbook with Tests in Print database (linked below) to inquire into your chosen test.
Step 3: List the following:
(i) A general DESCRIPTION of the test;
(ii) How the test was DEVELOPED;
(iii) The TECHNICAL components of the test–including, standardization, reliability and validity;
(iv) Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the test (COMMENTARY).
